ComSoc training in wireless communications

As noted last month, ComSoc has found that wireless practitioners bring a wide range of backgrounds to the certification exam, in both their education and experience. Therefore, what were originally eligibility requirements have been changed to eligibility recommendations. Although it is now up to each individual to decide whether he or she is adequately prepared for the exam, prospective applicants should recognize that thorough preparation, comprising both training and on-the-job experience, is important for success in the exam. As noted in the 2011 issue of the Candidate¿s Handbook, ¿Applicants with a combination of a bachelor¿s degree or comparable education plus three or more years of professional experience ¿ or other similar level of preparation ¿ have been more successful on the examination than those with less preparation.¿
