Abstract :
Comparisons are presented of integrated precipitable water vapour (IPWV) measurements obtained from GPS observations and radiosonde profiles. Mapping of zenith wet delay to IPWV has been improved by the calculation of new linear fit correlation coefficients relating surface temperature to the mean atmospheric medium temperature of water vapour for sites in the UK. The comparison verifies the suitability of the GPS technique for use in the measurement of IPWV in a variety of weather conditions
