Abstract :
A narrow-band, fibre-coupled light emitter based on the evanescent coupling between a semiconductor waveguide and a singlemode fibre is presented. The wavelength selectivity of the emission spectrum is caused by the index asymmetry between the two waveguides. A minimum linewidth of 1.5 nm is obtained
