Abstract :
Experimental results on the realisation and spectral characterisation of Er-ZBLAN microspherical lasers at 1.56 μm are presented. The laser effect is obtained using the properties of whispering gallery modes and pumping at 1.48 μm. Multimode operation and a laser threshold as low as 600 μW have been observed
