Abstract :
The authors extend the frequency validity range of the Moulsley-Vilar model for amplitude scintillations. The results presented are derived from data collected at 97 GHz using an experimental terrestrial line-of-sight link of 6.5 km. results on the seasonal dependence of scintillation amplitudes show that stronger fluctuations occur more frequently in summer than in winter due to increased thermal conditions. In view of the long time period and the wide range of meteorological conditions involved, the resulting statistics are believed to be reliable
