  • Abstract
A digital-frequency-synthesizer-phase-sensitive-detector based on a Texas Instruments TMS32010 digital signal processor has been designed and constructed. It can be operated as a standalone instrument as well as under remote control from a desk-top computer through an IEEE 488 (GPIB) interface. The frequency, gain, bias, and attenuation of the instrument are programmable. A 24-character 5×7 dot-matrix alphanumeric display system and 16 digit keyboard are used to display the results for the inphase and quadrature signals, and to change the programmable constants. The instrument is intended for use as a low-frequency network analyzer
