Substations, with particular reference to Yorkshire practice

The paper describes substation practice in a large area of Yorkshire where considerable progress has been made in supplying the sparsely populated sections as well as the larger industrial installations. Details are given of designs at 66 kV, 33 kV and 11 kV, and slides and models are shown, with special reference to 11 kV cubicles and 11 kV kiosk substations. Recommendations are made based on the authors´ experience over a number of years.
