  • Abstract
    THE NEED FOR and part of the purpose of this paper is demonstrated by the following example: Fig. 1 shows a conducting ring linked by magnetic flux ¿. Three identical voltmeters are connected symmetrically around the ring as shown. What will be the readings of the voltmeters in terms of the rate of change of the flux d¿/dt and the ring resistance R?
