Abstract :
The paper covers the general characteristics desirable in a battery-operated road vehicle, and describes the battery, the type of drive from motor to wheel, the motor and the control gear, small auxiliary circuits, and maintenance. Notes are added about the utility of regeneration and of motors built into the wheels.
