  • Abstract
System engineering is the overall process of constructing complex computer-based systems. It is concerned with requirements management, partitioning of the system into components, the integration of components into a complete system, and testing of the system against its requirements. Systems engineering models embody the collective experience of many practitioners, can indicate best practice and can provide a foundation for planning, progress monitoring and risk management.
