Abstract :
A monolithically integrated semiconductor optical amplifier based Mach-Zehnder interferometer has been used to demonstrate for the first time simultaneous all-optical add/drop operations for 40 Gbit/s OTDM signals. The penalty for the add operation is 1.3 dB
