Abstract :
The paper indicates the lines on which can be designed a range of television receivers capable of being produced in large quantities as efficiently in the factory, and proving as easily accessible for servicing in the field, as a radio receiver. Such results can be achieved by satisfying the requirements for the three main aspects of the design, namely circuit arrangements which take into account the influence on the performance of stray couplings and by the tolerance variations encountered in mass-produced components, mechanical constructions which permit a high production speed together with an adequate flexibility for the formation of different types, and cabinet constructions which give ease of assembly in the factory in combination with maximum accessibility in the field.
