Today, students want a more practically oriented approach to learning. The field of electromagnetics has become so broad that students seek a practical understanding of how to apply the theory they typically learn in a basic EM class. With the increase in tuition, students also expect to gain the utmost for the money they have spent. The author have summarized some of the things that students taking their first electromagnetics course want.
