  • Abstract
This paper presents the design and implementation of an adaptive PC-based software on a computer-aided automatic calibration system. This automatic system has been built for the Instrumentation and Calibration Department, Taiwan Power Company, to calibrate power transducers regularly. The major features of this calibration software include high-level languages for writing control and calibration procedures; a database and a Chinese input/output system facilitating the analysis of the results by the calibration engineers; a mouse as an input device; dialog boxes using a object-oriented programming concept; a menu-driven user interface with a powerful on-line query system to help unfamiliar operators; and an error-correction data structure to compensate for temperature effects. In consideration of practical situations, special emphasis is oriented toward its user friendliness, future extendability, and calibration quality
