Abstract :
New power and bandwidth efficient coding schemes that combine turbo codes with M-QAM modulation for fading channels are presented. The schemes can be decoded by an iterative symbol-by symbol MAP decoder. Simulation results show that the new scheme has superior performance to pragmatic turbo-coded modulation for the same bandwidth efficiency and interleaver size
