Abstract :
The paper describes the design of quarter-wavelength coaxial-line resonators, suitable for use in betatron-started synchrotrons giving energies less than 400 M.eV. The description is illustrated by measurements on the resonators which have been incorporated in 8-M.eV and 30-M.eV synchrotrons.
