Abstract :
A recent article on array antenna pattern synthesis [l] in this Newsletter suggests that "...we should no longer teach the Woodward-Lawson method, and that it should disappear from our textbooks ..." presumably in favor of Orchard\´s procedure [2]. I respectfully disagree for a number of reasons:
