Abstract :
What is mHealth? If we look at the use of information technology in healthcare, we´ll notice two intertwined development trends: connectivity and intelligent applications. The over arching goal has been to support and enable the delivery of health services and as a part of this to create a life-long electronic health record for patients. The emergence of local area networks and later internet provided new means for connectivity and enabled telemedicine and remote patient monitoring applications.
