Abstract :
The influence of sputter texture on the medium noise is discussed. Texture E (surface roughness, Ra=6.8 (nm)) and texture J (Ra=16.1 (nm)) are prepared as sputter textured samples. Both textured and non-textured samples are fabricated with DC magnetron sputtering method. Film structure, static magnetic properties and electromagnetic performance are measured, and magnetic domain is also observed. The medium noise is found to be related to the particle noise, the magnetic interaction as well as the size of the micro-bump of sputter texture
