Abstract :
The theory of stationary generation of a laser with a nonlinear Bragg (NBR) reflector as one of the cavity mirrors is developed. The analytical expressions determining the laser longitudinal-modes spectrum and the corresponding values of the lasing threshold are derived. It is shown that the output laser radiation can exhibit the multistable dependence on the pump rate value due to the fact that the behavior of the NBR reflection coefficient is also multistable versus the input radiation intensity
