Abstract :
There are no universal solutions or standard procedures for computer integrated manufacturing; rather it is what each company makes of it. This paper outlines ideas from the development of a CIM strategy at Mars Electronics, and argues that success in implementation depends less on the technology, which is generally already in existence, than on management commitment and a clear vision of the company´s future
