Abstract :
A novel numerical method, which uses linear edge elements in eddy current region and nodal finite elements in non eddy current regions, is presented for solving 3D eddy current problems. The mathematical models are divided into two parts according to their properties. The theory of linear edge elements is developed. The test results show the validity of the algorithm
