  • Abstract
Over the course of the next four years, I will attempt to document my experiences in medical school in this column. After receiving a bachelor of science in engineering (B.S.E.) degree in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania (Penn), Philadelphia, in May 2010, I began studying medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. During medical school, my intention is to continue to use my bioengineering background by participating in engineering research. While the majority of my undergraduate research experience was in gene therapy, my current interest focuses specifically on cardiac tissue engineering.
