Abstract :
The tapped delay line (TDL) model of the WSSUS channel is widely used as a propagation model in digital communications. The TDL model is usually assumed to have uncorrelated channel taps coefficients, although this assumption proves to be only an approximation. A violation of the approximation conditions leads to substantial modelling error, especially for channels with short rectangular-like power delay profiles. A correct model with mutually correlated coefficients is presented
