            Abstract :
We have measured the magnetoresistance of Co/Cu multilayers in the temperature range from 20°C to 270°C to investigate the reversibility of GMR under cycling through this temperature range. There is a transition temperature (from reversible to irreversible behavior), which depends on the Cu layer thickness in the Co/Cu multilayers. When the Cu layer thickness is 1.0 nm, the transition temperature is 120°C; when Cu layer thickness is 2.2 nm, the transition temperature is 150°C
