Abstract
The paper describes some of the special electrical requirements and problems at the various factories of the Industrial Group of the United, Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. It deals with the three main groups of the Authority´s activities, i.e. chemical plants, diffusion plant and nuclear reactors. The need for a high standard of cleanliness and ventilation everywhere, but particularly in chemical plants, the maintenance of cooling systems and safety circuits for reactors, and some of the special electrical supply problems for diffusion plants are discussed. The authority´s general policy on standardization, electrical safety, etc., is stated in the general section of the paper.
