Abstract :
Changes in the cost of supplying power due to changes in total power demand, or due to changes in the allocation of power between generating stations, are evaluated by an analogue computer described in the paper. Changes in the power lost in transmission are included in the evaluation, and systematic changes in power conditions are made automatically to discover the minimum cost of supplying power.
