Abstract :
The demands of high density magnetic recording have motivated the development of vector Preisach models to supplant the scalar Preisach model. We present the details of such models, including methods for identification. The models are validated by the prediction of a variety of responses, including hysteresis loops, δM curves, and rotational behavior such as torque curves at intermediate field values. An application of the model to adjacent track interference is discussed
