Abstract :
Time effects in magnetic recording media are noticeable, particularly in tapes using CrO2 particles. It is found that the time effects can be described by functions that are almost the same as ln t. The coefficient of the log term is studied for tapes with CrO 2 particles and with metallic particles as functions of magnetic field and temperature. The tapes are subjected to rotating magnetic fields before measuring the time effects
