Abstract :
The frequencies of a truncated circular waveguide are determined using the method of internal matching; both TE and TM modes are considered. As the aspect ratio increases, the modes change continuously from those of a long rectangle to those of a circular waveguide; the TM modes also describe vibrating membranes
