Abstract :
A hybrid method of FDTD and far field integration is used to simulate and analyze the polarization properties of leaky coaxial cables with circumferential asymmetry slot structures. It is found that the LCX with circumferential asymmetry slots can excite both the circumferential and axial components of the radiation field, and the magnitude and phase differences between them change with the structural parameters of the asymmetry slot significantly. Based on the analysis, two novel designs of LCXs which can generate circular polarization wave within a corridor along the cables were proposed.
