Abstract :
The conditions for the preparation of a magnesium-manganese ferrite have been investigated, and a suitable process is described. Low loss, an essential feature for microwave use, has been shown to be related to the equilibrium oxygen content of the final product. The course of the solid reactions during firing have been investigated by means of the thermobalance and chemical examination of fired material. This investigation shows the importance of some of the steps in the process of preparation.
