Results of Second Annual Student Design Contest [Education Column]

The AP-S Education Committee is pleased to announce the winning teams in the second annual Student Design Contest. The assigned task in this year´s competition was to design and construct an inexpensive but effective radiation-pattern measurement system for the 2.4 GHz band. The three finalist teams were invited to the IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation in Spokane, where they demonstrated their measurement systems to conference attendees and to the contest judges. As was done last year, the selection of the first, second, and third place prize winners was very difficult, because all three teams did an outstanding job.
