Abstract :
A class of digital filters is described which has good steerability in scale-space. This property is due to the use of Erlang functions in the frequency domain as basis filters. Weights for synthesising digital filters of arbitrary scale are estimated by least-squares techniques in the frequency domain, then applied in the time-domain
