Abstract :
The explosion in the market for digital communications equipment has fostered unprecedented interest in high performance DACs and highlighted the shortcomings in the way in which these devices are described. The authors discuss the architectures and features of DACs together with specifications (dynamic and static) and signal distortion. Comparisons of DACs are also mentioned.
