Abstract :
The authors have successfully fabricated the three-dimensional (3D) iron diselenide microrod clusters via a simple and controllable hydrothermal synthetic approach. The reaction time and temperature were found to have significant influence on the purity and morphology of the obtained samples. Meanwhile, the growth mechanism of iron diselenide flowers was proposed on the basis of the experimental observations depending on different reaction conditions (including temperature and reaction time) as well as the authors´ understandings. The Se´Se stretching modes of iron diselenide microstructures were also preliminarily explored by the Raman spectrum. In addition, the authors have studied the magnetic properties and thermal stability of the as-obtained FeSe2.
