Abstract :
The authors describe the transient performance of a 2000 MVA superconducting turbogenerator operating in a multimachine environment. The results are compared with others, obtained by replacing the superconducting generator by its conventional substitutes. The dynamical effects of introducing the new machine on the overall performance including power system controllers and stabilisers are reported
