Abstract :
The paper deals with polyphase rectifiers in which the switching element is a complementary combination of a p-n-p and an n-p-n transistor. The stability conditions for the open and closed states of this switch are investigated graphically, leading to the calculation of the voltage drop when conducting. There is a sharp upper limit to the permissible current. Tests are described on a 3-phase controlled rectifier.
