Abstract :
What were the origins of radio? Who first suspected or believed that there were electromagnetic waves? Who first demonstrated that such waves could actually be brought into existence? Who was first to show that it was possible to communicate using these waves? The author shows that in trying to find out, the answers to those questions are far from clear cut
