Abstract
The paper mentions briefly the need for measuring accurately the mutual conductance of thermionic valves at various intervals, and explains in some detail how this measurement can be undertaken. It is difficult to assess the precise magnitude of the errors involved, but, while the inaccuracy in the absolute value of mutual conductance may be as great as 0.25%, it is unlikely that the errors in comparative measurements will exceed 0.1%. The method described is readily adaptable for the measurement of anode conductance and screen-grid amplication factor.
