Abstract :
A recursive algorithm is presented for parametrically evaluating the impulse response energy of a class of two-dimensional (2-D) linear discrete systems characterised by a proper separable-denominator transfer function. It is useful in connection with current work on a 2-D separable-denominator system (SDS) and its model reduction. The algorithm is illustrated by an example
