Abstract :
Gordon R. Slemon passed away 26 September 2011 in Toronto. He was a Professor Emeritus in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Toronto, where he served as head of the Electrical Engineering Department from 1966 to 1976 and as dean of its Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering from 1979 to 1986. He received his bachelor??s and master??s degrees from the University of Toronto, the DIC from Imperial College, and Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees from the University of London. He was a Fellow of the IEEE. A brief professional biography is presented.
