  • Abstract
The paper deals with recent developments in the U.S.S.R. in the field of paper capacitors for electronic and power uses. Improvements in the chemical quality and physical uniformity of capacitor paper are described at length. Impregnants, discussed briefly with reference to their advantages and disadvantages, include chlordiphenyl, trimethylphenylindene and polyisobutylene. Recent improvements in the techniques of impregnation and sealing are described.
