Abstract
The radius of the ground plane of coaxial probes commonly used for the in vivo determination of the dielectric properties of biological tissues is not necessarily large enough to assure its effect is negligible. The authors present a model which allows the determination of the effect of this significant source of error on the impedance of the probe
