Abstract :
Deptford was the first power station in the world to operate HVAC systems on a large scale. Deptford was a model on which all future power stations were based. In mid 1890 the station was running in a satisfactory manner and generating power at 10 kV. The author describes the history of the world´s oldest large HVAC generating station
