Abstract :
This letter examines a multiple-resonance technique to achieve higher bandwidth for the microstrip-fed printed slot antennas. The overall BW (S11 <; -10 dB) of a proposed multiresonant slot antenna is revealed to be increased by more than 100% as compared to a single resonant slot antenna occupying the same room. Small slots of different shapes are added in the corners of the main slot to realize the multiresonance behavior. Prototypes of the multiresonant slot antennas with different shapes are designed and tested.
