Abstract :
This is an interesting collection of lessons learned the hard way, as told by an architect who joined a "team in transition," replacing the original architect. These lessons are almost "anti-patterns," and the author provides thoughtful solutions. What I especially like about his proposals is that he recognizes there are no perfect people or perfect teams and that sometimes even the best solutions won\´t work. I think that\´s humility, a bonus for those willing to be reflective about their experience. The author reminds us that, yes, architecture is important, but people are just as important if you want to realize your goals.
