Abstract :
Transformer-tank losses can be reduced by lining the tank with a nonferrous material. A method is presented whereby the eddy-current density and tank flux can be obtained for a transformer with any number of windings and any distribution of turns. As a special case, solutions are obtained for a 2-winding transformer with uniformly distributed turns.
