Active network synthesis using one-port RC networks

A new synthesis technique is described involving a voltage amplifier with a fixed voltage transfer ratio and 2-terminal RC networks. For the most general case of a rational transfer function, an extra sign-reversing amplifier is required. An extension of the technique gives a realisation of rational transfer functions with adjustable coefficients by the addition of a further sign-reversing amplifier. Illustrative examples are discussed and some experimental results are described.
