The cover displays false color diagrams representing the relative backscattering from the near-field boundary layer (bottom left) and far-field clouds (bottom right) obtained from 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 μm (top) lidar systems using photomultiplier tube, Si-APD and infrared phototransistor detectors.
